Crop Chop connects experienced cannabis professionals with licensed Michigan cultivations seeking additional support during harvest and post-harvest periods. We are currently looking to expand our network of subcontractors available for trimming and plant maintenance assignments throughout Southeast Michigan.
Assignments are posted on our platform and contractors may choose whether to accept available opportunities based on their availability.
Typical Assignment Activities
Depending on the needs of the cultivation facility, assignments may include:

Trimming cannabis flower using hand tools

Supporting harvest and post-harvest preparation tasks

Assisting with plant maintenance such as defoliation

Preparing plant material for extraction processes

Resetting cultivation rooms and assisting with general grow-room organization

Maintaining clean work areas and properly storing tools after use

Communicating any plant health concerns to cultivation staff
Specific tasks and results expected are determined by the licensed cultivation facility hosting the assignment.
Industry Qualifications
Contractors participating in assignments should typically meet the following:

21 years of age or older

Reliable transportation to cultivation facilities

Previous cannabis post-harvesting or cultivation experience preferred

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Strong communication

Smartphone access to view and accept assignment opportunities

Ability to pass facility access requirements where applicable
Assignment Availability
Work opportunities are posted based on cultivation demand and may vary week to week depending on harvest schedules and production needs.
Typical assignment windows may occur during daytime hours, often beginning in the morning and lasting approximately 8–9 hours depending on the scope of work requested by the cultivation facility.
Contractors may choose which assignments they wish to accept.
